NACON Unveils RIG R5 SPEAR PRO HS

NACON officially launched its new "studio-grade" wired gaming headset, the RIG R5 SPEAR PRO HS, on October 8th. This new peripheral is officially licensed by Sony for the PlayStation 5 and is engineered to deliver an immersive audio experience, fully supporting the console's Tempest 3D AudioTech for enhanced spatial awareness.

At the heart of the RIG R5 SPEAR PRO HS are its 40mm laminated graphene drivers. NACON states these drivers provide clear vocals, crisp highs, and powerful bass, with a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.5%. This precision allows the headset to accurately reproduce detailed in-game sound effects, creating a more engaging environment for players.

For clear team communication, the headset is equipped with a cardioid microphone designed to focus on the user's voice while minimizing background noise. It features a metal mesh pop filter to reduce plosives and includes a convenient flip-to-mute function for instant privacy during gameplay.

A standout feature of the RIG R5 SPEAR PRO HS is its user-friendly SNAP+LOCK magnetic modular system. This innovative design allows for easy DIY customization, enabling users to effortlessly swap out the memory foam earpads or attach non-original ear cup shells to personalize their headset's look and feel.

In terms of technical specifications, the headset boasts a frequency range of 20Hz to 40kHz and an impedance of 32Ω. The microphone system offers a frequency range of 50Hz to 15kHz with a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 42dB. The NACON RIG R5 SPEAR PRO HS is entering the market with a suggested retail price of $69.99.
