DJI's First 360° Action Camera, Osmo 360, Rumored to Launch this month
DJI is reportedly planning to release its first 360-degree action camera, the Osmo 360, this month, along with the Mic 3 wireless microphone. The Osmo Nano, however, is expected to be delayed until August.
The Osmo 360 boasts the capability to record 8K 30FPS or 4K 120FPS 360-degree video. It features a 1-inch CMOS sensor with a resolution of 120 million pixels, ensuring high-quality image capture.

For connectivity, the Osmo 360 supports Wi-Fi 6.0 and utilizes microSDHC cards for storage. It offers various video recording formats, including 4K, 2.7K, and Full HD 1080p. The camera's screen has a resolution of 314 x 556 and a size of 5.08 centimeters (2 inches).

The Osmo 360 features a square sensor design, balancing a 1-inch 360° image with reduced power consumption and device size. Paired with an f/1.9 aperture, it promises excellent image quality even in low-light conditions.

Equipped with OsmoAudio, the Osmo 360 can connect directly to two microphone transmitters, capturing high-quality audio from two speakers. With the built-in microphone's audio backup function enabled, the camera also records ambient sounds, enhancing the realism of videos.

In single-lens mode, the Osmo 360 can shoot 4K/120fps video with a 170° ultra-wide angle. Switching to 5K/60fps provides a 155° ultra-wide angle.
The camera supports gesture and voice control, features a magnetic quick-release system, and is compatible with Osmo Action quick-release accessories. Additionally, it supports third-party sports data integration, allowing users to add data from Apple Watch, Garmin devices, or other third-party FIT files to their videos.

DJI will also launch the Mic 3, weighing just 11.7 grams and measuring 14mm x 28mm x 29mm.

The DJI Osmo 360 appears to be a promising entry into the 360-degree action camera market, offering high-resolution video recording, advanced features, and compatibility with various accessories.
