OnePlus Glacier Battery introduced- Capacious, Thin, Light and Durable
OnePlus has teamed up with the well-known battery manufacturer CALC to create a new generation of batteries for high-performance smartphones. The development is called Glacier Battery, and according to OnePlus, it will "put an end to battery problems".
The new rechargeable battery allows you to get more capacity without increasing the thickness of the phone body. This 6100mAh battery is 22% larger than the standard OnePlus battery (5000mAh) while taking up 3% less space. In addition, the battery supports fast charging with a power of 100W (from 0% to 100% in half an hour).
Glacier Battery has a larger capacity than the average smartphone, but at the same time, it is small in size. In comparison, if you look at the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the base S24 comes with a battery capacity of only 4000mAh.
As for the service life, the manufacturer claims that the Glacier Battery uses several technologies to increase the life of the battery, and the battery will not lose more than 20% of its original capacity over four years of operation.
The first smartphone with this battery
The first smartphone with a new type of battery was the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, which will be released by the end of the month. High autonomy is promised - two days with active load. Other specifications of the smartphone include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 24GB of RAM.
Today, Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro is considered the leader in terms of autonomy. In tests by Tom's Guide, it holds a charge with continuous use for almost 19 hours. Significantly, the OnePlus 12R was immediately behind it.
