POCO X8 Pro Series Leaks: Renders and Key Specs Revealed for New Mid-Range Contenders

New details have emerged about Xiaomi's upcoming mid-range smartphones, the POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max, which are set for a global release. Recently surfaced renders, shared by tech informant @passionategeekz on the X platform, provide a first look at the design and color options, which will include black, white, and blue for both models.

The renders suggest that the new series will maintain the design language of its predecessor, the X7 Pro. Both the X8 Pro and Pro Max feature a nearly identical front with a centrally located punch-hole camera and ultra-slim bezels. The primary visual distinction lies in the rear camera module, where the Pro Max version is rumored to feature a dual-LED flash, while the standard Pro model is equipped with a single flash.

Under the hood, the POCO X8 Pro Max is expected to be a powerhouse. Leaked specifications point to a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The device will reportedly feature a large 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. For photography, it is anticipated to have a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.

The standard POCO X8 Pro is also shaping up to be a capable device, rumored to be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip. It is expected to feature a slightly smaller 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED screen and will also boast a 50MP main camera, specifically using the Sony IMX882 sensor.

Battery life appears to be a major focus for the series. While the X8 Pro Max will not feature the 9000mAh battery seen in some other models, its capacity is still projected to exceed a massive 8000mAh. Meanwhile, the X8 Pro is expected to come with a substantial 6500mAh battery, supported by 100W wired fast charging.
