Acer Aspire X 16 Debuts with Panther Lake and 2.8K OLED
The Acer Aspire X 16 has officially arrived in overseas markets, bringing Intel's next-generation Panther Lake architecture to a slim, productivity-oriented form factor. Built for creators and mobile professionals who prioritize display accuracy and long endurance, the notebook's primary highlight is the pairing of an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor with a high-refresh OLED panel. However, buyers looking for higher-end memory tiers will find that Acer has currently omitted the previously promised 32GB RAM and 2TB storage configurations at checkout.

Intel Panther Lake Silicon and Graphics
Under the hood, the Aspire X 16 runs on the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor integrated with Intel Arc B390 graphics. This setup handles compute and graphics-accelerated workflows without requiring a power-hungry discrete GPU, balancing high efficiency with capable media rendering.
For now, the machine is available solely in a standard configuration equipped with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive. While Acer had earlier revealed plans to offer models sporting 32GB of RAM, 2TB of internal storage, as well as alternative Core Ultra 5 338H and Core Ultra X7 358H processor options, those specific SKUs have not yet appeared on store shelves.

High-Refresh 2.8K OLED Visuals
Visual output is handled by a 16-inch OLED display running at a 2.8K resolution. It provides full coverage of the 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, catering directly to photo editing, design, and color-critical workflows.
The screen also features a fluid 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 500 nits of peak brightness under standard dynamic range (SDR) settings, maintaining readability in bright environments while delivering deep blacks and high contrast.

Portability and All-Day Battery
Despite its large screen size, the Aspire X 16 maintains a relatively compact footprint. The laptop weighs approximately 1.6 kilograms and measures 354.7 by 250.4 millimeters, with a profile tapering from 10.02 millimeters at its slimmest point to 15.9 millimeters at the hinge.
Acer has equipped the chassis with a sizable 84Wh battery designed to provide up to 24 hours of operation under optimal conditions, positioning it as an all-day companion for travelers and remote workers who want to leave the charger behind.
Would you consider a 16-inch productivity laptop locked to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, or are you waiting for Acer to release the 32GB configuration before upgrading?
