Huawei has officially announced that its new flagship TWS earbuds, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 YueZhang, will be unveiled at a launch event on November 25. This event will also feature the debut of the Huawei Mate 80 series / Mate X7 and other new products, marking a significant day for the company's ecosystem.

According to official teasers, the FreeBuds Pro 5 YueZhang are set to redefine wireless audio with three core features. These include Dual-engine AI adaptive noise cancellation, an ultra-stable connection powered by NearLink technology, and the capability to deliver master-level lossless sound quality, promising an immersive listening experience for users.

Both the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 YueZhang earbuds and their charging case have successfully obtained NearLink certification. The certification details reveal that the earbuds passed a comprehensive set of tests, including SLE RF consistency, SLE basic service layer and application layer tests, and L2HC codec testing, becoming the first terminal device to receive this specific certification. The charging case also passed the SLE RF consistency test, ensuring a robust and reliable connection.

This announcement follows the HUAWEI SOUND and new audio product technology briefing held on November 6, where Huawei officially released its TWS master-level lossless audio standard. During that event, the company first announced that the forthcoming FreeBuds Pro 5 YueZhang would be the industry's first TWS earbuds to achieve NearLink audio certification.

Under the hood, the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 are powered by the Kirin A3 chip and NearLink E 2.0 technology. This combination supports NearLink audio connection along with dual communication frequency bands at 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz. This enables a remarkable transmission rate of up to 16 Mbps, which is eight times faster than traditional Bluetooth. When paired with a NearLink-compatible smartphone, the earbuds can achieve true lossless audio quality at up to 4.6 Mbps.
