Huawei Watch GT 6 Series Leaked: Up to 21-Day Battery Life and Pro Cycling Features Revealed

Promotional materials for Huawei's upcoming Watch GT 6 series, including a Standard and a Pro version, have been leaked by German tech outlet WinFuture, providing a detailed preview ahead of the official September 19th launch. The new series appears to focus on significant upgrades in battery life and professional sports functions rather than a major design overhaul.

Aesthetically, the new models share a similar design language with their predecessors, featuring an AMOLED touchscreen and wireless charging across the lineup. The flagship Watch GT 6 Pro will come in a 46mm case with a 1.47-inch circular AMOLED display at a 466×466 pixel resolution. The standard Watch GT 6 offers more variety, with both 41mm and 46mm case sizes. The smaller 41mm version has a 1.32-inch screen with the same 466×466 resolution, resulting in a higher pixel density and a design geared towards a more feminine aesthetic. The 46mm standard model shares the same screen size and resolution as the Pro but utilizes different case materials for a slimmer profile.

The most significant upgrade is in battery technology. The series incorporates a High-Silicon Stacked Battery, which reportedly boosts energy density by 37% and battery capacity by 65%. The 46mm models, including the Pro, are equipped with an 867mAh battery, delivering up to 12 days of typical use and an impressive 21 days in power-saving mode. The 41mm version contains a 540mAh battery, offering 8 days of regular use and up to 14 days in power-saving mode.

For health and fitness, the series is packed with features including heart rate monitoring, SpO2 detection, ECG, sleep tracking, and menstrual cycle tracking. It also supports customized training plans and breathing exercises. The Watch GT 6 Pro introduces a standout feature: the world's first smartwatch-integrated cycling power meter function. This allows the watch to measure a user's Functional Threshold Power (FTP) and can work in tandem with external power meters for precise power output monitoring in watts.

Other specifications include a 9-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, dual-band GPS, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC. All models are rated for 50 meters of water resistance. Wireless charging takes 85 minutes for the 41mm version and 95 minutes for the 46mm models. The standard Watch GT 6 is expected to start at €249, while the Pro version will start at €379, with prices varying based on the strap material.
