CMF Phone 1 Sold 100,000 Units In Just 3 Hours
Nothing unveiled the CMF Phone 1 on Monday, and the phone recently went on sale, with the company proudly reporting that it sold more than 100,000 units in the first three hours of its release. Compared to the company's similar Nothing Phone (2a) that launched in March, it took 24 hours to achieve that number of sales, so the CMF Phone 1 is said to be selling eight times faster.
The CMF Phone 1 was launched with a unique feature that allowed users to customize the device to a high degree, such as swapping out the back cover and attaching accessories such as a lanyard, a stand, and more. Nothing recently revealed that it had registered a 3D printer that allows users to create their own back cover.
The CMF Phone 1 has a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel at a Full HD + resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. This panel reaches a refresh rate of 120Hz and is capable of reaching a maximum luminosity of 2,000 nits. To be very affordable, they have turned to a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, which manufactured at 4nm with an 8-core configuration (4x Cortex-A78 + 4x Cortex-A55) together with a Mali-G615 M2 GPU. This SoC is accompanied by 8GB of RAM along with 128GB of internal storage.
This hardware is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. While it can't be charged wirelessly, it does at least offer a 5W reversible charging system to charge other devices via cable. All of this is packed into a chassis with IPX2 certification that makes it resistant to rain, although it can withstand accidents such as falling into water up to 25cm deep.
In terms of photography, we have a 50MP Sony main camera along with a 2MP depth sensor, a 16MP selfie camera in a hole in the screen, and a fingerprint reader under the screen. The information is completed with the Nothing OS 2.6 operating system based on Android 14.
The CMF Phone 1 is on sale at Amazon for USD 260, but you can get $60 off instantly: Pay $199 ($260) upon approval for the Amazon Store Card.
