Honor GT Official: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 5300mAh and 100W Charging - Only $300
The new smartphone from Chinese manufacturer Honor GT was officially unveiled today in China. It is a budget device designed for gaming.
The Honor GT features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a FullHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and DCI-P3 color gamut support. The screen brightness reaches 4,000 nits, which provides a clear image even in bright sunlight. There is also support for PWM dimming at a frequency of 3,840Hz, which reduces eye strain during prolonged use.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip with a maximum clock speed of 3.3 GHz and an Adreno 750 graphics processor. The smartphone is available with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of internal storage.
To optimize the performance of apps and games, the company has implemented an exclusive Phantom Engine. Its features include artificial intelligence to predict frame freezes, adapt power consumption depending on the load, and video recognition technology to improve movie playback.
The smartphone's improved 3D cooling system imitates natural heat exchange processes to improve efficiency. Dual-circuit capillary network technology allows for efficient heat distribution, while a 9-watt heat-conducting gel ensures high performance without overheating.
Honor GT has a main camera module with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 sensor and f/1.95 aperture. It is complemented by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with macro shooting capability. The front sensor has a resolution of 16 MP and an f/2.45 aperture.
The device's autonomy is provided by a 5,300mAh battery that supports 100W charging via USB Type-C. The smartphone runs Android 15 with the Magic UI 9.0 shell. It supports 5G networks, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.3. Among other features, it is worth noting an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and support for two SIM cards. The dimensions are 161 × 74.2 × 7.7 mm and weighs 196 grams.
Release dates and price
Honor GT is already on sale in China. The smartphone is available in three colors: white, black, and green. There are five memory configurations: 12/256GB ($300), 16/256GB ($330), 12/512GB ($355), 16/512GB ($400), 16GB/1TB ($455). Pre-orders in China are already open, and the start of sales is scheduled for December 24.
