Honor Magic5 Series Gets Major Gaming Boost with Phantom Frame Stabilization Update

Honor has begun rolling out the MagicOS 10.0.0.116 update for its Magic5 series smartphones. This significant update, with a package size of approximately 0.99GB, brings several new features, including transparent icons, real-time blur effects in the control center, and the ability to share notifications between Honor phones and iPhones.

The highlight of this update for mobile gamers is the implementation of the "Phantom Frame Stabilization" feature. This technology is designed to deliver a smoother and more stable gaming experience. It is now available for a curated list of 12 popular games: Honor of Kings, Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, Wuthering Waves, Naraka: Bladepoint, Peacekeeper Elite, CrossFire, Delta Force: Hawk Ops, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Naruto Mobile, and QQ Speed.

This frame stabilization technology is powered by Honor's self-developed Phantom Engine, which first debuted on the Honor GT phone last December. The engine was engineered to achieve "zero jitter" in graphically intensive games, "zero touch interruption," and optimized power consumption. An evolved version of the Phantom Engine was later featured in the Honor GT Pro, introducing AI-driven enhancements for power adaptation, touch response, and rendering.

The Honor Magic5 series, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor, continues to receive valuable feature updates, demonstrating Honor's commitment to supporting its devices long-term. This model, noted as the last Magic series to support Huawei's ecosystem services, has already gained features like YAGU Portrait mode, real-time blur in the control center, and iPhone notification sharing through previous updates.
