Vivo X Fold 5 Apple's ecosystem Support

One of the most exciting devices to be released in the second half of the year is the Vivo X Fold 5, the foldable that promises some unprecedented features that no other device in this category has ever offered.

Vivo has recently confirmed that it will officially launch the X Fold 5 phone along with a new pair of wireless headphones at an event held on June 25. This smartphone is introduced with the slogan "lighter and stronger", and there are many reasons why it sounds more interesting than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7. One of the key highlights is its integration with Apple's ecosystem.

Compatible with the ecosystem of Apple

Shortly after Apple's WWDC announcement, the Chinese company Vivo confirmed on Weibo that its upcoming foldable flagship, the X Fold 5, will support the Apple Watch. This will enable users to sync health data recorded on the watch and display all incoming calls and text messages directly on Apple's smartwatch.

Besides, this smartphone supports iCloud login, AirPods pairing with custom animations, and phone controls. Vivo also claims that the X Fold 5 will offer support for "direct" iCloud connectivity and, for Mac users, the capability to use the phone as an additional display.

Design and specifications

In terms of design, the official image shows that it will not be significantly different from the previous model, but will come with a new physical button on the left instead of the vibration slider.

The vivo X Fold 5 reportedly features an 8.03-inch foldable side display and a 6.53-inch outer display, both of which use 8T LTPO panels and full-brightness high-frequency PWM dimming. Apart from that, Vivo X Fold 5 will reach a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits on both screens, just like its previous foldable models.

Vivo X Fold 5 is likely to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a 6,000mAh battery, supporting 90W wired, 30W wireless charging. On the back, the phone has a triple camera system, including a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 main sensor with OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The device will be only 5mm thick.

The device will come in three colors: Pine Green, White, and Titanium, with a Zeiss-branded circular camera module.
