Honor 600 Pro Review: 4K Live Photos and Beyond
Honor recently launched its 600 series, with a strong focus on imaging and battery performance. The lineup includes the 600 Vitality Edition, the 600 Super Edition, and the flagship model we're reviewing today, the Honor 600 Pro.

The Honor 600 Pro is available in Light Feather Blue, Obsidian Black, Apple Green, and this year's signature color, Lucky Star. The Lucky Star back panel features a stunning three-layer texture. The top layer displays a holographic gradient nebula pattern with distinct star logos that shimmer and change with the light. Beneath this is a fine-grained stardust texture, and a new dual magnetic suction process creates a unique cat-eye twin star ring pattern, enhancing the celestial theme. The device also features a frosted metal mid-frame with curved edges for a comfortable grip and boasts an impressive IP68, IP69, & IP69K rating for water and dust resistance, ensuring enhanced durability.
On the front, the Honor 600 Pro sports a 6.57-inch Clear HD Eye-Care Screen with a 2728×1264 resolution. It offers a typical brightness of 800 nits, a global peak of 1800 nits, and an impressive maximum peak brightness of 8000 nits, making it easy to see the screen even in direct sunlight. For eye comfort, the display incorporates Honor's Oasis Eye Protection technology, featuring 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, DOT dual eye protection, and a paper-like reading mode for extended use.
Under the hood, the Honor 600 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8550 Elite mobile platform, with configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The built-in Honor Magic Engine ensures smooth gaming performance. In tests, it maintained a stable 120fps in *King of Glory* at the highest settings and ran *Genshin Impact* smoothly on high-quality settings.
Battery life is a major strength, thanks to a massive 8000mAh Qinghai Lake battery paired with Honor's self-developed E2 efficiency enhancement chip. It supports 80W wired fast charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and 27W wired reverse charging. The reverse charging is powerful enough to provide a meaningful boost to another primary device or power small external accessories. In a test with a third-party charger, the phone reached nearly 50% charge in 30 minutes and completed a full 0-100% charge in 72 minutes, demonstrating excellent compatibility beyond the official charger.
The main highlight of the Honor 600 Pro is its imaging system, which focuses on delivering ultra-high-definition Live Photos. The rear camera setup is a standard triple-lens combination: a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens. The device supports 4K Live Photo output across all focal lengths, for both the front and rear cameras. You can even capture 4K Live Photos while recording video, and the high resolution significantly improves the quality of single-frame captures.
Beyond just high resolution, the Honor 600 Pro introduces creative 3D Live Photo features, including cinematic effects like Bullet Time, Hitchcock zoom, and Highlight Slow Motion. Users can also interact with their 3D avatars, generate AI-based "Live Blind Box" effects, and create 3D photos. Furthermore, the 4K Live Photos support lossless editing in popular apps.
In conclusion, the Honor 600 Pro stands out as a powerful flagship device that excels in design, battery endurance, and especially its innovative camera capabilities. It's a compelling choice for users who prioritize mobile photography and want a device that can keep up with a demanding day.
