Google Pixel Watch 3 Seen Live For the First Time: Here Is the Design
Google is expected to introduce the Pixel Watch 3, along with the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, and Pixel Buds Pro 2, at its launch event on August 13. Now that that date is approaching, some promotional images of the Google Pixel Watch 3 have leaked onto the internet by Android Headlines. So what will Google's third-generation smartwatch offer? Features and Design Revealed
Accordingly, Google's new smartwatch will be available for sale in two sizes (41 mm and 45 mm) for the first time. Both will be available in WiFi and LTE variants. Besides, this wearable will be accompanied by a panel with Google's Actua technology that doubles the screen brightness from 1,000 to 2,000 nits and will probably also enjoy a higher refresh rate.
In terms of battery life, it looks like the Pixel Watch 3 is still promising 24 hours of battery life with the display always on and an extra 12 hours in power-saving mode, which would be up to 36 hours of uninterrupted battery life. According to the leaked images, which bear the tech giant's own signature, fast charging will still be supported on the smartwatch, but the 41mm model now enjoys 20% faster charging than its predecessor.
The Pixel Watch 3 will also feature advanced running metrics, something the previous device lacked, and which fitness enthusiasts will now be able to use for custom runs, compete against previous workouts, and get real-time feedback on cadence and stride, for example. But that's not all, because there are several new features in its software, most notably better integration with Nest Cam and Nest Doorbell, allowing you to peek at live feeds from your Google Camera and Video Doorbell from your wrist.
Of course, you’ll still enjoy Google Wallet for making contactless payments or verifying your transit card, offline Maps, and other useful features like using your watch to control the camera on your Pixel phone. Plus, with the new Morning Brief feature, you’ll get a summary of your fitness level and other important health and wellness metrics every morning, like your sleep score and how prepared you are for the day.
As for its colors, both sizes of the Pixel Watch 3 will be available with black cases with obsidian straps, silver cases with porcelain straps, and gold cases with a hazelnut (green) strap, but only the 41 mm model can be purchased with a silver case with a rose quartz strap.
