Huawei Expands FreeClip 2 Lineup with Elegant Ice Berry Purple and Rose Gold Options

Huawei has officially expanded its audio lineup with the release of two new stylish color options for its FreeClip 2 ear-clip earphones. The new 'Ice Berry Purple' and 'Rose Gold' variants went on sale on February 6th. These earphones are distinguished by their unique 'C-bridge' design, which offers a comfortable and open-ear listening experience.

The new colorways are designed to be both visually appealing and evocative. The 'Ice Berry Purple' is described as a masterful blend of cool-toned purple with the gentle warmth of berries, creating a hazy, frosted-like luster. In contrast, the 'Rose Gold' finish offers a gentle yet firm aesthetic, designed to appear as natural as light on skin, conveying a sense of calm and resilience.

Beyond aesthetics, the Huawei FreeClip 2 maintains its strong technical specifications. The earphones feature a φ10.8mm open dual-diaphragm acoustic driver, which reportedly increases both loudness and low-frequency power by 100%. In terms of battery life, each earbud houses a 60mAh battery for up to 9 hours of playback, while the 537mAh charging case extends the total listening time to 38 hours. A quick 10-minute charge can also provide 3 hours of use.

Powering these features is Huawei's new third-generation self-developed low-power chip. The earphones are integrated with a HarmonyOS AI assistant, enabling features like head-gesture announcements, smart broadcasting, and AI-powered translation. They also support the L2HC high-resolution audio codec for superior sound quality, along with intelligent features like adaptive volume control, vocal enhancement, and spatial audio with a 40% reduction in head-tracking latency.
