DJI Mini 5 Pro Drone Folding Animation Revealed, Fly More Combo RC2 Priced at €1,129
On August 26, DroneXL shared a video that for the first time revealed the folding animation of the DJI Mini 5 Pro drone. The video, sourced from the Italian channel Quadricottero, not only showcased the drone’s folding and unfolding process but also confirmed previous leaks about its appearance and structure.
The Fly More Combo RC2 version of the DJI Mini 5 Pro has been spotted on a European website with a retail price of €1,129 Interestingly, this price is consistent with the current price of the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo.
The DJI Mini 5 Pro continues to use the same battery system as the DJI Mini 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro. The drone is classified under the “C0” category, indicating that its weight is below 249 grams. This classification means that in most countries and regions, users can fly the drone without the need for registration, training, or exams.
Despite its lightweight design, the DJI Mini 5 Pro integrates a 1-inch image sensor, breaking the previous technological limitation that such sensors were only available on drones weighing more than 595 grams, like the DJI Air 3S.
In terms of appearance, the new propeller guards borrow design elements from the DJI Flip and incorporate low-noise propeller tips. The drone also features a new side button on the bottom, allowing it to automatically power on and take off with a single press after unfolding, without the need for a remote controller. Additionally, the propellers have a new “quick-release” design, replacing the traditional one-time screws for easier installation.
On the technical front, the DJI Mini 5 Pro boasts excellent low-light performance and dynamic range. It is equipped with a lens that has an equivalent focal length of 24mm and an F1.8 aperture. The drone offers features such as Nightscape night mode, a 48mm mid-telephoto mode, omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, and ActiveTrack tracking technology for sports scenes. It can capture video at up to 4K/120fps and has an extended flight time of 36 minutes.
