Nothing Phone (3): Triple Camera, Transparent Design and Goodbye to LEDs

Nothing previously confirmed that it would be launching its new Phone (3) smartphone on July 1st. Besides, this smartphone will abandon the Glyph Interface, or LED light strips under the transparent back surface, which has been the hallmark of its phones so far, in the Phone (3), and has released suggestive preview images of its upcoming new product.

Now we have a better idea of the design of the Nothing Phone (3), as leaker Max Jambor shared a picture of the Nothing Phone (3) on X.

The image shows the Phone (3) from behind, confirming that Nothing's signature transparency is continuing. The image shows no visible lights on the Phone (3), but the rumored dot matrix display may be invisible when turned off. The Phone (3) has three cameras on the back, with a periscope-style telephoto camera joining the main and ultra-wide-angle cameras.

Previously, Nothing founder and CEO Carl Pei revealed the price of the upcoming Phone (3). According to Pei, the Phone (3) will cost around £800, or around €950, while the previous Phone (2) went on sale in the summer of 2023 with a starting recommended price of €679.

Nothing is entering a new price range. According to Pei, Nothing has “gotten everything” in terms of “premium materials, significant performance improvements, and software” that will take the user experience to a new level.

Founded in 2020, Nothing is on Phone (3) is increasingly challenging the top-tier flagship phones on the market. Pei himself previously called the upcoming novelty Nothing's "first true flagship smartphone."

As for features, in addition to the periscope telephoto camera, rumors have suggested a modest increase in battery capacity, from 4,700mAh to 5,000mAh. In addition, the higher price range suggests a more efficient system chip and improvements in other features.
