Olight Unveils ArkTac Series 2 Flashlights: Up to 1800 Lumens, with Built-in UV Light and Green Laser
At its O Fan Day event, manufacturer Olight introduced the all-new ArkTac Series 2, according to a report by NoteBook Check. The lineup includes the hardcore-oriented ArkTac Ultra and the mainstream ArkTac. Both feature a flat body design with multiple light sources, while the Ultra goes further — adding laser, red light, and ultraviolet emitters, all housed in a brand-new unibody OAL2 aluminum alloy chassis.
ArkTac Ultra: 1800 Lumens and Smarter Controls
The Ultra's overall design carries over the style of the earlier ArkPro, pushing peak brightness to 1800 lumens, with a largely unchanged front control layout. Olight has also upgraded the status indicators, adding three low-brightness LEDs so you can quickly identify the active light source even in complete darkness. The battery indicator system gains a new battery protection mode that provides roughly 2 extra hours of basic illumination.

On the back, a new control button lets users directly switch between several lighting modes, including floodlight, spotlight, UV, red light, and the green laser.
Proximity Sensor for Safety
The ArkTac series adds an all-new sensor that measures the distance between the flashlight and nearby objects, reducing the risk of accidental activation — for example, preventing the light from firing up at high brightness inside a backpack or pocket. Since flashlights can get quite hot during operation, this feature also improves overall safety.
ArkTac: The Mainstream Option
Alongside the Ultra, Olight also launched the standard ArkTac for everyday users. Both models work as everyday-carry (EDC) flashlights, but the ArkTac drops the laser source and the new front-facing illuminated indicators, and sticks with the original material instead of the new OAL2 alloy. On brightness, the ArkTac tops out at 1700 lumens — a barely noticeable gap compared to the Ultra's 1800.
