Baseus Launches U2 Pro Outdoor Security Camera Featuring Dual 3K Lenses and a Motion-Tracking Spotlight
Baseus has expanded its smart home lineup with the international release of the U2 Pro Outdoor security camera. Priced at $269.99, the outdoor surveillance device distinguishes itself with a built-in spotlight engineered to actively follow and illuminate moving targets.

According to official details, the U2 Pro incorporates onboard AI analytics that trigger automated alerts whenever motion is detected. The intelligence engine provides clear event summaries and target descriptions by categorizing detected activity into people, pets, vehicles, and package deliveries.
The tracking spotlight functions as both an active security measure and a functional everyday utility. If an unauthorized individual enters the yard, the camera can lock onto the intruder and track them with focused illumination to serve as an immediate visual deterrent. For routine household needs, the lighting system can also automatically illuminate pathways during nighttime outdoor activities, such as walking pets.

Regarding optics and hardware, the U2 Pro features a dual-camera architecture delivering 3K resolution across two vertically stacked sensors. The upper fixed lens continuously observes a designated vantage point around the property, while the lower camera is mounted on a pan-and-tilt motorized gimbal to provide dynamic, wide-angle tracking. To simplify outdoor installation and ensure uninterrupted clean energy, the package also includes a companion solar panel.
How do you view the trend of integrating motorized, motion-tracking spotlights into outdoor cameras compared to traditional wide-angle floodlights? Would an active tracking beam offer better security for your property, or do you have reservations regarding false triggers?
