Black Shark Unveils Compact Gaming Tablet with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 144Hz Display

Black Shark has officially launched a new compact gaming tablet for the international market, aptly named the Black Shark Gaming Tablet. This device is engineered from the ground up to deliver a premium gaming experience in a portable form factor.

Focused on gaming, the tablet is available in two color options and is built with an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy body. It maintains a slim profile at just 7.7 mm thick and weighs a mere 332 grams, making it highly portable.

At its core, the Black Shark Gaming Tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. This octa-core chipset, with a main frequency of up to 3.0 GHz, is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. For users needing more space, the storage is expandable up to 2TB via a TF card. The tablet is reported to come pre-installed with the Android 16 operating system.

The centerpiece is its 8.8-inch 2K display, which boasts a sharp 2560 × 1600 pixel resolution and an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The screen offers a pixel density of 343 PPI, a peak brightness of 600 nits, and covers the DCI-P3 color gamut with a factory-calibrated color accuracy of less than Delta E 1.

To sustain peak performance, the tablet is equipped with a cooling system featuring a vapor chamber, multi-layer graphene sheets, and a metal heat dissipation structure, with an optional magnetic cooling fan also available. Connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (2×2 MIMO), Bluetooth 5.4, and DisplayPort output. Audio is delivered through symmetrical dual speakers.

A robust 7300mAh battery powers the tablet, providing up to 5.6 hours of gaming, 10.3 hours of web browsing, 7 hours of video playback, and a maximum of 76 hours for music. The camera setup includes a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

While the official pricing has not yet been announced, the Black Shark Gaming Tablet has already appeared on the company's official overseas website. With its potent combination of a high-performance processor and a high-refresh-rate display, it is poised to be a compelling option for portable gaming enthusiasts.
