Dahua Technology Unveils AI-Powered ITS Solutions at Intertraffic 2026

Dahua Technology, a world-leading video-centric AIoT solution and service provider, made a significant return to Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026, where it showcased its latest Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The presentation centered on leveraging advanced artificial intelligence to enhance traffic safety, streamline management, and promote sustainable urban mobility for cities around the globe.

During the event, Wang Jun, General Manager of ITS Product R&D at Dahua Technology, delivered a keynote titled "AI for a Smarter, Safer, and More Sustainable Transport." He explained how AI and large-scale models are transforming traffic management from passive monitoring to proactive, predictive operations. This evolution helps cities optimize road resources, improve traffic safety, and increase travel efficiency for citizens, addressing key urban challenges from congestion and accidents to overall traffic monitoring.

At the heart of Dahua's ITS offerings is the Xinghan LargeScale AI Model 2.0, which integrates the V-Series (vision-centric), M-Series (multimodal fusion), and L-Series (language understanding). This powerful AI engine fuses real-time video, traffic, and regulatory data into an intelligent cycle of perception, analysis, decision, and control. This enables automated incident detection, optimized traffic light control, precise traffic monitoring, and a reduction in false alarms, boosting both efficiency and safety in complex road environments.

Dahua also presented its enhanced Radar and Video Fusion Technology (VRF 2.0). This technology strengthens accuracy and continuity in challenging scenarios by combining radar and image data. It effectively overcomes issues like occlusions and misidentifications while significantly reducing setup time, ensuring more reliable and consistent traffic monitoring.

Beyond safety enforcement, Dahua showcased a range of solutions designed to improve traffic efficiency and the overall travel experience. These systems are engineered to alleviate congestion and create smoother journeys for commuters, demonstrating a holistic approach to urban mobility that prioritizes both safety and convenience.

Highlighting the real-world impact of its technology, Dahua shared insights from successful global ITS implementations. Noteworthy projects include the Smart AI Traffic Management System on Malaysia's Second Penang Bridge and the first smart traffic light network in San Francisco de Campeche, Mexico. These cases demonstrate measurable improvements in surveillance, enforcement, and congestion reduction. Furthermore, the company’s smart EV charging solutions were also featured, underscoring its commitment to fostering greener transportation systems.
