Thermalright Unveils Peerless Assassin 120 SE Extrem with Upgraded Dual Ball Bearing Fans

Thermalright has officially launched its latest CPU air cooler this month, the Peerless Assassin 120 SE Extrem. As the newest iteration in the acclaimed PA120 SE series, this model introduces a significant upgrade: it is the first in the lineup to feature high-performance dual ball bearing fans, promising enhanced durability and airflow.

PA120 SE Extrem

The PA120 SE Extrem features a dual-tower, dual-fan configuration with a total height of 154mm, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of cases. It is constructed using a through-fin press-fit process and is equipped with six 6mm AGHP (Anti-Gravity Heat Pipe) heatpipes and a micro-carved copper base for superior heat dissipation. To maximize hardware compatibility, the heatsink incorporates cut-out fins at the bottom to provide ample clearance for memory modules.

In terms of performance, the cooler boasts a nominal DTPC (Design Thermal Power Capacity) ranging from 120W to 265W. This wide thermal range makes it a robust solution for effectively cooling everything from mid-range to high-end processors, even under demanding workloads.

The standout feature of this new model is the pair of included TL-C12C Extrem fans. These are standard 120x25mm fans, each with nine counter-clockwise rotating blades and the aforementioned dual ball bearings. Their key specifications include a maximum speed of 1850 RPM, a potent maximum airflow of 82 CFM, a static pressure of 2.1 mmH₂O, and a peak noise level of 29.6 dB(A).

Available now on e-commerce platforms, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE Extrem is priced at 157 yuan. This combination of upgraded, durable fans and proven cooling performance makes it a compelling and budget-friendly option for PC builders seeking high-end cooling without the premium cost.
