vivo X300 Ultra: A Deep Dive into its Pro-Level Video Upgrades

Vivo is set to redefine smartphone videography with its upcoming X300 Ultra. According to Product Manager Han Boxiao, the new flagship will integrate professional camera concepts across video, color, control, and image quality, with the ambitious goal of becoming a true “professional video powerhouse” for creators.

A major highlight is the introduction of a new “Professional Video Mode Pro.” This mode features a user interface designed to replicate the control layout of professional photography equipment. It empowers users with advanced settings and a suite of cinematic color profiles, including Film Style and Film Look, allowing for the creation of film-grade visuals directly from the phone.

The most significant leap forward is the X300 Ultra's ability to support 4K 120fps 10-bit Log mode recording across its entire focal range. This means the entire Zeiss lens system can capture video with a consistent 10-bit color depth, a wide dynamic range, and a unified color science. This consistency across wide, standard, and telephoto lenses is a crucial feature for professional-grade video production.

Further enhancing its professional credentials, the device will allow users to load custom 3D LUTs for real-time monitoring while recording. This feature, typically found on dedicated cinema cameras, enables creators to preview their final color grade on the fly, truly realizing the concept of a “cinema in your pocket.”

To complement these software advancements, vivo will also launch new hardware accessories. This includes the global debut of a 400mm vivo Zeiss teleconverter professional photography kit, touted as a potential benchmark for future phone teleconverters. A new professional photography grip with upgraded controls and functionality will also be released, further enhancing the shooting experience.
