AMD Rolls Out Adrenalin 25.9.2 Driver: Support for 'Dying Light: The Beast' and RX 7700 GPU

AMD has released its latest Radeon graphics driver, Adrenalin Edition 25.9.2. This significant update introduces crucial support for the newly launched horror action game, "Dying Light: The Beast," and officially adds compatibility for the new Radeon RX 7700 graphics card.

In terms of gaming enhancements, this driver update provides dedicated support for "Dying Light: The Beast." The optimizations are focused on improving game performance and increasing stability, ensuring that players can enjoy a smoother and more reliable gaming experience from day one.

On the hardware front, the driver now officially supports the Radeon RX 7700 desktop graphics card. The RX 7700 is built on the "Navi 32" GPU architecture and features 40 Compute Units (CUs), 2560 Stream Processors (SPs), 96 ROPs, and 160 Texture Units. The card's Infinity Cache is set at 40MB. For memory, it comes equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 on a 256-bit bus with a 19.5Gbps effective speed, positioning it as a strong contender for 1440p gaming scenarios.

This release also addresses several bugs. The key fixes include resolving potential graphical corruption in Godot engine-based games using the Vulkan API, fixing intermittent application crashes in "Time Traveler: Rebirth Dawn" when ray tracing is enabled on Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs, and addressing a startup failure issue with the Oasis driver when used with Windows Mixed Reality headsets.

However, AMD has also acknowledged several outstanding issues that are still being investigated. These include potential crashes in "The Last of Us Part II" on the RX 7900 series and instability in the career mode of "NBA 2K25" on the RX 9070 series. Furthermore, some Ryzen processors may experience crashes while running "FBC: Firebreak," and various display or stability issues persist in games like "GTFO," "Cyberpunk 2077," "World of Warcraft," and with certain VR headsets.
