POCO M8 Power 5G Teased in India: Massive Battery & Orange Finish
If battery anxiety is your biggest tech hurdle, POCO has a new solution on the way. Just days after the POCO M8 Power popped up in HyperOS source code leaks, the company has officially confirmed the device is coming to India.
A dedicated microsite on Flipkart is now live, proving that a launch is imminent. While POCO is keeping the full spec sheet under wraps, the early teasers give us a massive hint at what to expect: a gigantic battery and a fresh new look.

A Rebranded Redmi Note 17?
The Flipkart teaser leads with the tagline, “Ready for Big Battery. Non-Stop Entertainment?” While every brand promises great battery life these days, the M8 Power might actually deliver.
Recent HyperOS leaks suggest the POCO M8 Power is essentially a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 17, which recently launched in China. If true, the "Big Battery" tagline makes total sense, as the Chinese Note 17 boasts a jaw-dropping 8,000mAh capacity.
Interestingly, while the camera module in the teaser looks identical to the Note 17, POCO shows off a bold orange finish—a colorway that Redmi currently doesn't offer. This suggests POCO is giving the Indian model a distinct, energetic design to stand out from its Redmi cousin.
Expected Specs & Features
If the M8 Power shares the Redmi Note 17's DNA, budget 5G buyers are in for a treat. Here is what we expect to see under the hood:
-
Display: A massive 7-inch OLED screen (120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, 1,800 nits peak brightness)
-
Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4
-
Battery & Charging: 8,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging (and 22.5W reverse wired charging)
-
Cameras: 50MP main rear shooter alongside an 8MP selfie cam
-
Extras: IP65 dust/water resistance, NFC, and up to 8GB RAM / 256GB storage
What About the POCO X8?
POCO isn't stopping there. According to tipster Debayan Roy, the brand is also prepping the standard POCO X8 for the Indian market.
Rumored to be a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro, the X8 is expected to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz OLED display, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, 67W fast charging, and an even more absurd 9,000mAh battery.
If these leaks hold up, POCO is about to dominate the budget 5G segment for mobile gamers and heavy media consumers. Stay tuned, as POCO is expected to drop more official teasers regarding the processor, camera, and launch date in the coming days.
