The standout feature is undoubtedly the massive 12,000mAh battery, a capacity rarely seen in this segment. Xiaomi claims this allows for an extraordinary 69-day standby time, ensuring the tablet is ready to use even after long periods of inactivity. Furthermore, it supports up to 27W wired reverse charging, effectively turning the tablet into a high-capacity power bank for your other gadgets.

Complementing the powerful battery is a large 12.1-inch 2.5K ultra-clear display, which is also promoted as having eye-protection features. Aiming at productivity users, the REDMI Pad 2 Pro will support PC-level applications like WPS and CAJ, making it a capable tool for both work and academic purposes.

While full details for the mainland China release are pending, information from a previous launch in Hong Kong suggests the tablet will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It is expected to offer memory configurations of 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM paired with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The software is also set to include seamless ecosystem features like cross-device calling and Mi Smart Hub for enhanced connectivity.

The REDMI Pad 2 Pro is shaping up to be a formidable contender in the tablet market, with its exceptional battery life, large high-resolution screen, and productivity-oriented features. The tablet is scheduled to launch this month alongside the new Turbo 5 Max smartphone, with pre-orders already available for interested customers.
