Samsung Unveils Stylish The Frame Pro TV: What's So Special About It

Samsung The Frame Pro TV

While the doors of the CES in Las Vegas are not even fully open yet, Samsung is already presenting many innovative products in the field of television. The iconic The Frame range welcomes a new model called… The Frame Pro.

The idea is still to be forgotten in the living room, by imitating the design of a painting that is at once elegant, refined and atypical. When the television is on standby, it is thus possible to display the works of art of your choice, or your own photos.

With its 4K Neo QLED panel combining QLED and Mini LED technologies, and a refresh rate that goes from 120 Hz to 144 Hz, The Frame Pro promises us improved sharpness and clarity, with more pronounced contrasts and deeper blacks. It embeds an NQ4 Gen3 processor for this, optimizing image quality for all types of content.

However, it seems that this is not really Mini LED as we usually hear it: here, the mini LEDs would be placed at the bottom of the screen and not arranged uniformly. The manufacturer claims that this approach still allows dynamic and localized lighting preserving the black level and details in the shadows; difficult to judge without a real test of the device.

The Frame Pro also features Wireless One Connect technology, allowing for more flexible installations that blend seamlessly into any environment. This feature simplifies the integration of the TV into a living space, with a remote wireless box (WiFi 7) that groups together all the connections.

In addition to its technical improvements, The Frame Pro expands access to art with an Art Store that now offers more than 3,000 selected works, from partnerships with prestigious institutions such as MoMA and the rights holders of Magritte and Basquiat. The device is also the official partner of Art Basel.

Samsung is expected to offer The Frame Pro in 65, 75 and 85-inch versions. Prices are currently unknown, but they should logically be higher than 1800 euros, the entry ticket for the current The Frame range. Marketing is scheduled for spring 2025, prices should be announced at that time.
