MacBook Air With M4 Chip Coming Before the End of March - Gurman

According to the latest rumors from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is set to launch new MacBook Airs powered by the M4 chip by March 2025. Gurman shared this information in his recent “Power On” newsletter, suggesting that the Cupertino company may be about to release updated versions of the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air.
However, the reporter did not provide a specific launch date, only saying that it will happen “by March” Just six days ago, Gurman had said that the new devices would be unveiled “in a matter of weeks.”

Apple last released the MacBook Air with the M3 processor in March 2024. Therefore, the M4 model may arrive in the same period. In December 2024, it was revealed that Apple accidentally added the name of the M4 MacBook Air to the system files during the macOS Sequoia 15.2 update.
On the other hand, the indication of the imminent launch is the decline in stocks of the current M3 MacBook Air models. In other words, we can say that the new model is actually already ready.
This is what is expected from the MacBook Air M4
First of all, let's talk about the features of the new MacBook Air, which will offer significant improvements in performance and efficiency with the M4 chip. However, although major design changes are not expected, a thinner and lighter structure may be possible. As for the battery and display, it may offer improved energy efficiency and possibly a higher refresh rate display.
The MacBook Air could also feature an improved front-facing camera that supports Center Stage technology, which automatically keeps the user in the center of the frame. Thunderbolt 4 ports are also expected to be among the upgrades.

We might expect that those in Cupertino won't be raising the price for this release, it's their entry-level Mac and many will surely notice that it won't be a major update. Its design has had slight changes although no transformations are expected yet. The only one that is planned to have a major redesign is its older brother, the MacBook Pro, which could make its transition to an OLED screen.
