Samsung’s Premium 2027 Foldable Lineup Leaked, First Rollable Tablet Could Arrive in 2028

The Dutch technology outlet GalaxyClub published an article on July 31 revealing a group of internal codenames for Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices. The report also claimed that Samsung is accelerating development of its first rollable tablet.

Samsung’s expected 2027–2028 foldable product lineup as follows:

• B9: Galaxy Z Flip9 clamshell foldable phone, expected to launch in summer 2027.
• H9: Galaxy Z Fold9 book-style foldable phone, expected to launch in summer 2027.
• Q9A: Galaxy Z Fold9 Ultra conventional large foldable phone, expected to launch in summer 2027.
• Q9B: Galaxy Z TriFold2 tri-fold phone. The first-generation model launched in December 2025, while its successor is expected in 2027.
• Z9: A “Rollable Flex” tablet, expected to launch in early 2028.

For the Galaxy Z TriFold2, Samsung is reportedly redesigning the hinge system so that nearly all hinge components have a similar thickness. This could help reduce the overall thickness and weight of the device.

For reference, the current Galaxy Z TriFold measures 12.9mm thick when folded and weighs approximately 309g. By comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is only 8.9mm thick when folded and weighs 215g.

If Samsung can make the next-generation model thinner and lighter, it should deliver noticeable improvements in portability and everyday usability.

The most notable product in the leaked lineup is the Rollable Flex tablet. Its dimensions are expected to be closer to those of a conventional tablet, with the display expanding horizontally to provide a larger screen area while avoiding the central crease found on traditional foldable devices.
