SwitchBot Lock Ultra Just Got a Major Integration Update

SwitchBot's latest smart lock is now compatible with Home Assistant, expanding support for Bluetooth users and smart home integration.
SwitchBot has announced that its flagship smart lock, the SwitchBot Lock Ultra, now officially supports Home Assistant via Bluetooth, allowing users to control and monitor their locks without requiring the Matter-compatible SwitchBot Hub.
Bluetooth Smart Lock Features Now Available in Home Assistant
While the SwitchBot Lock Ultra was previously compatible with Home Assistant through the SwitchBot Matter Hub, the Home Assistant June 11 update adds direct Bluetooth support, allowing for a hub-free connection between the lock and the Home Assistant platform.
These features are now supported via Bluetooth integration:
-
Lock and unlock functionality
-
Door status (open or closed)
-
Auto-lock mode status
-
Calibration status
-
Battery level monitoring
This means users can now monitor their smart lock status in real time, check battery levels, and manage lock settings directly from the Home Assistant interface.
Improved Smart Lock Support for European Night Latch Users
The update also improves support for Night Latch-style door locks, which are especially common in European households. SwitchBot has released a video guide to help Lock Ultra and Lock Pro users set up their devices with this configuration.
In addition to Bluetooth and Matter support, SwitchBot has confirmed that cloud-based Home Assistant integration is currently in development and expected to launch in July.
SwitchBot Expands Smart Home Integration with Home Assistant Support for More Devices
