Samsung Galaxy A27 Specs Leaked: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and 5000mAh Battery on the Horizon

New details about Samsung's upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A27, have emerged, thanks to a recent report featuring CAD renders and a comprehensive list of specifications. The device is anticipated to launch in the second half of the year and appears poised to offer a significant performance upgrade with a new Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.

The leaked renders showcase a familiar design with a modern twist. The Galaxy A27 will reportedly feature a flat-edge frame with rounded corners for a comfortable grip. It is expected to be available in three colors: Light Pink, Blue, and Black. The device measures 162.4 x 78.2 x 7.8mm and weighs approximately 200g. The design includes a centered punch-hole for the front camera and a vertically aligned triple-camera system on the back.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A27 is set to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, a notable upgrade for the mid-range segment. This will be paired with configurations offering up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. However, reports suggest that the new model may omit the microSD card slot, a feature previously common in this series.

For display and battery, the device will feature a large 6.7-inch FHD+ screen. It will retain the series' reliable 5000mAh battery, which will support 25W wired fast charging, ensuring all-day power for most users.

The camera department features a versatile triple-lens setup on the rear, led by a 50MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This is complemented by a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. Interestingly, the front-facing camera is expected to be a 12MP sensor, which is a slight downgrade from the 13MP sensor found in its predecessor.

In conclusion, the leaked specifications suggest the Samsung Galaxy A27 is shaping up to be a compelling mid-range offering. The inclusion of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip marks a significant performance leap, while the large display and long-lasting 5000mAh battery continue to be strong selling points. While the potential removal of the microSD slot and the minor downgrade in the front camera might be drawbacks for some, the overall package appears well-balanced for its target market.
