DJI Officially Announces Avata 360: The First 8K Flagship Panoramic Drone, Launching March 26

DJI has officially announced its first-ever 8K flagship panoramic drone, the DJI Avata 360. The new model is set to redefine aerial imaging with a focus on 8K panoramic capabilities and an enhanced flight experience. The company has confirmed a global launch event scheduled for March 26 at 20:00.

Official teaser posters reveal that the Avata 360 will feature an integrated propeller guard design, building upon the mature and successful airframe of the previous Avata models. This design evolution suggests significant breakthroughs in maneuverability and overall usability, specifically tailored to deliver stunning panoramic flight and filming capabilities.

Previously leaked information from sources like Igor Bogdanov showcased a key design innovation: a gimbal that can be rotated for storage. This clever feature is designed to protect the camera lens from being scratched by sand or debris during takeoff and landing, enhancing the drone's durability in various environments.

Further leaks suggest the DJI Avata 360 will utilize a gray Cinewhoop-style frame structure with fully enclosed, spherical propeller guards for maximum safety. The drone is expected to be equipped with a powerful one-inch sensor capable of capturing high-quality panoramic images and crisp 6K/60FPS HDR video. Additionally, it is reported to feature an advanced "omnidirectional obstacle avoidance" system.
