OnePlus Ace 5 Series Unveiled In China, Starting at US$ 315

As promised, OnePlus unveiled the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones in their Ace lineup. Both devices feature a 1.5K BOE X2 flat display, powered by a self-developed Display P2 chip, with an impressive peak brightness of up to 4500 nits.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, achieving an impressive score of 3.31 3.31 million points on AnTuTu. It introduces the industry's first chip-level gaming technology, Fengchi Gaming Core, and claims to be unique in supporting native 120 frames per second at 1080p resolution.

To enhance thermal performance, it includes a dual ice core 6004mm² single-layer VC heat sink combined with a chip air duct design, an under-screen graphite heat dissipation film, and a low-temperature aerospace aluminum middle frame. This combination promises quick heat dispersion, a cooler touch, and overall efficient temperature management.

Additionally, the smartphones also offer advanced connectivity features, including ultra-long-range smart Bluetooth and the world’s first gaming Wi-Fi chip, G1. With a specialized e-sports antenna system and a game cloud computing private network, the Bluetooth signal range can extend up to 400 meters.

The Ace 5 series is equipped with a 6100mAh glacier battery, capable of charging to 52% in just 15 minutes and reaching a full charge in 36 minutes, along with 100W flash charging and bypass charging support.

The standard Ace 5 model runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, features a 9925mm² VC cooling system, and also supports native 120 fps gaming alongside a similar display. It is powered by a 6400mAh carbon silicon battery with an energy density of 859 Wh/L and offers 80W fast charging.

Both models are equipped with a 50MP main camera featuring a Sony IMX906 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP front-facing camera. They both come in a sleek Porcelain color with a ceramic finish.

The smartphones are available for pre-order now and will officially go on sale in China starting December 31st. While there's no announcement for an international launch yet, reports suggest that the OnePlus Ace 5 may be branded as the OnePlus 13R for international markets, expected to release on January 7, with a slightly different camera and battery specifications.
