HeyWhatsNew: Tesla Reveals SpaceX-Powered Roadster, and Cyberpunk 2077 Co-Op Is in the Works

Welcome back, Heyuppers! Let’s jump straight into the latest headlines and catch up on what’s been happening across the worlds of tech, gaming, and innovation, starting with 19/10/2026.
Websites Are Blocking AI Agents From Accessing Their Services
AI companies like OpenAI, Meta, and Google are developing agents that can handle everyday online tasks, from booking flights to shopping and managing emails. However, several major websites are starting to block these tools. Companies including Amazon, Delta Air Lines, JPMorgan Chase, and Charles Schwab have restricted AI agents from accessing their services. Some have raised security concerns, while others want greater control over how AI tools interact with their platforms. Amazon has even taken legal action against Perplexity over its AI shopping agent.
These restrictions are making it harder for AI agents to do what they promise. Some websites are working directly with AI companies instead, with Meta partnering with retailers such as Walmart, Sephora, and Best Buy to allow its Muse assistant to shop on their platforms. Meanwhile, security systems designed to stop bots are also blocking legitimate AI agents, sometimes by mistake. As more websites introduce these measures, users could face additional verification steps, and AI agents may have fewer websites where they can complete tasks.
Tesla Unveils New Roadster With SpaceX Thrusters
Tesla has unveiled its redesigned second-generation Roadster, featuring a propulsion system developed with SpaceX. During a demonstration in Texas, the vehicle used thrusters and high-powered fans to lift off the ground, rotate in midair, and land. Tesla also demonstrated acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in approximately one second. The Roadster will be available in three versions: Performance, Thrust, and Rocket. The Rocket version will feature 10 cold-gas thrusters designed to enable aerial manoeuvres. Tesla claims all three versions will offer a range of 300 miles (483 km) and top speeds exceeding 230 mph (370 km/h).
Production is scheduled to begin in 2028, following several delays since the second-generation Roadster was first announced in 2017. Tesla has opened reservations, with deposits set at $50,000 for the Performance version and $250,000 for the Thrust version. The Rocket version will be available by invitation only. The company has not yet announced final pricing, and questions remain about the vehicle's production timeline and how its flight capabilities would be regulated for use on public roads.
Cyberpunk 2077 Is Getting an Eight-Player Co-Op Mod
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to receive a new fan-made multiplayer mod called NightCoop, which will allow up to eight players to explore Night City and play through the game's story together. The mod is currently in closed testing, covering the prologue and Act 1, with plans to support the full campaign when it launches. Players will share the same game world, take part in combat together, and vote on dialogue choices that affect the story.
NightCoop will also include optional player-versus-player (PvP) combat, where defeated players can be revived without losing progress. Each player will control their own customized version of V, with different clothing, weapons, and abilities. The mod will also offer adjustable enemy difficulty to make combat more challenging for larger groups. NightCoop is being developed for PC, although a release date has not yet been announced. The project is fan-made and is not an official multiplayer update from CD Projekt Red.
Resident Evil Fan Is Turning the New Movie Into a PS1-Style Game
A Resident Evil fan is developing a survival horror game based on Zach Cregger’s latest film, which was released in cinemas on September 18, 2026. Developer Julian Zamora, known online as chicanogoth, is using the Godot engine to recreate the look and gameplay of the original PlayStation games. Early footage shared on Instagram shows the game using retro graphics and fixed camera angles, similar to those found in the early Resident Evil titles.
The footage recreates a scene from the film in which Bryan, played by Austin Abrams, takes shelter in a barn during a snowstorm before being chased by an infected dog. The game follows the classic series' camera style, switching between different angles as Bryan moves through the environment. Zamora has not announced a release date but plans to share more updates as development continues. This is another fan-made project inspired by the film, following an earlier mod that added Bryan as a PS1-style character in Resident Evil 2.
GTA 6 Release Date Confirmed as Rockstar Reveals New Trailer
Rockstar Games has released a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, confirming that the game is scheduled to launch on 19 November 2026, following two previous delays. The game is available for pre-order on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with prices starting at $79.99 in the US and £69.99 in the UK. Players will be able to pre-load the game from 12 November, while a PC release date has yet to be announced. The latest trailer also offers a closer look at the game's missions and features new music composed by French electronic duo Justice.
GTA 6 follows two playable characters, Lucia and Jason, as they become involved in a criminal storyline set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. The game will also mark the return of Vice City, Rockstar's fictional version of Miami. Development costs are estimated to exceed $1 billion, potentially making it one of the most expensive games ever produced. With GTA 5 having sold nearly 230 million copies since its 2013 release, expectations for the sequel remain high. Rockstar has not yet confirmed whether an online multiplayer mode will be available at launch.
