Sony Launches Three New Wireless Headphones Across Premium, Midrange, and Budget Tiers

Sony Electronics has introduced three new wireless over-ear headphones in the U.S.: the WH-1000XM4C (M4 2nd Gen), WH-CH730N, and WH-CH530.

The lineup covers three different price points, from a premium noise-canceling model down to a more affordable everyday option. Sony is also adding a Hello Kitty limited-edition collaboration for all three models, complete with themed carry accessories.

WH-1000XM4C: Premium ANC With More Tuning Control

The WH-1000XM4C is the flagship of the group. Sony says it brings the series’ well-known noise-canceling technology, updated sound tuning, and 10-band equalizer adjustment.

It uses a comfortable over-ear design and comes in lavender purple, black, and platinum silver. Sony has priced it at $299.99, with availability set for this fall.

For buyers who want Sony’s more premium headphone experience without jumping to the brand’s top shelf, this is the model that will likely get the most attention.

WH-CH730N: Midrange Noise-Canceling for Daily Use

The WH-CH730N sits in the middle of the lineup and is positioned as a more everyday-friendly wireless noise-canceling headphone.

Sony says it delivers strong sound quality, uses dual noise sensors, and includes a beamforming microphone with precise voice pickup technology. Battery life is one of its strongest points: Sony claims up to 50 hours with ANC on.

The headphone uses a lightweight over-ear design and comes in five color options. It is priced at $179.99 and will go on sale this month.

That makes the CH730N the most balanced model in the group for people who want active noise canceling without spending flagship money.

WH-CH530: The Budget Option Focused on Battery Life

At the entry level, Sony is launching the WH-CH530.

This model is aimed at all-day listening and uses a compact on-ear design. Sony says it offers clear, balanced sound, supports AI noise canceling, and can last up to 55 hours on a charge.

It will be available in six color options and is priced at $69.99. Like the CH730N, it is set to ship this month.

The CH530 is clearly the most casual option in the lineup, but it also gives Sony a much cheaper entry point for buyers who mainly want long battery life and a lighter fit.

Hello Kitty Collaboration Adds a Playful Twist

Alongside the main launch, Sony is also preparing Hello Kitty limited-edition versions of the WH-1000XM6, WH-CH730N, and WH-CH530.

These special editions will include Hello Kitty-themed carrying pouches and tote bags, giving the lineup a more playful retail angle at launch.
