Apple Releases watchOS 26.1 Developer Beta 2

Apple has released the second beta of its upcoming watchOS 26.1 update to registered developers for testing. The new software, identified by the internal build number 23S5017d, was rolled out just two weeks after the previous beta version.

This update builds upon the foundation of watchOS 26, which introduced significant enhancements to the Apple Watch experience. Key features of the major watchOS 26 release include the new "liquid glass design," the introduction of a native Notes app, intuitive swipe gestures for navigation, and the powerful capabilities of Apple Intelligence.

How to Upgrade to iOS / iPadOS / watchOS / macOS Developer and Public Betas?

Public Beta: To install the public beta, you need to register for the Apple Beta Software Program. Once enrolled, you can receive the update by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates on your device.

Developer Preview: Accessing the developer preview requires an active membership in the Apple Developer Program. After logging in with a registered developer account, the beta can be enabled and installed through the Software Update section in the Settings app.

The watchOS 26.1 Beta 2 update likely contains bug fixes and performance improvements for the features rolled out in the initial watchOS 26 release. Developers can now download the update for testing and are encouraged to provide feedback on any new findings or issues.
