Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Leak Reveals Minor Battery Upgrade and a Redesigned Shape

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Leak

New details have emerged about Samsung's next-generation wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4. According to a report from tech outlet Galaxy Club on October 29, the upcoming earbuds are currently in development and are expected to feature a charging case with a slightly larger battery capacity, marking an increase of approximately 3% over their predecessors.

The report specifies that the charging case for the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 will have a rated capacity of 515mAh, a modest bump from the 500mAh rated capacity of the Galaxy Buds 3. Consequently, the advertised typical capacity is projected to rise from 515mAh to around 530mAh, corresponding to the roughly 3% increase. This suggests an incremental improvement in battery life rather than a major leap.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Leak

In terms of a release timeline, the Galaxy Buds 4 series is predicted to launch as an accessory alongside the Samsung Galaxy S26 flagship smartphones in early 2026. However, with rumors circulating that Samsung may adjust the product line for the S26 series, the launch event could be scheduled later than the traditional January window, leaving the exact date uncertain for now.

This battery leak follows earlier findings by Android Authority, which uncovered an icon file named “list_ic_earbuds_buds4” within the One UI 8.5 system firmware. Such icons are typically used to represent the product in device connection menus, making their design a highly reliable preview of the final product's appearance.

Based on the details from the leaked icon, the most significant design feature is that the Galaxy Buds 4 will retain a stem-like design. However, the overall silhouette is set for a noticeable change. It appears Samsung is moving away from the distinctive triangular design language of the Buds 3, opting for a softer, more rounded shape for the new model.
