Samsung Unveils the Odyssey G7 G75F: A 37-Inch 4K Curved Monitor with a 165Hz Refresh Rate

Samsung has expanded its gaming monitor lineup with the launch of the new Odyssey G7 G75F in the Malaysian market. Priced at 4,399 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately $930 USD), this 37-inch monitor is designed for immersive gaming, featuring a sharp 1000R curvature and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification.

One of the standout features of the G75F is its aggressive 1000R curve, which closely matches the human field of view to create a more encompassing and immersive experience. The display boasts a stunning 4K resolution (3840x2160) with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a buttery-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. To ensure fluid gameplay, it also features a rapid 1ms Gray-to-Gray (GtG) response time.

Under the hood, the G75F utilizes TCL CSOT's latest HVA panel technology. This allows for an exceptional static contrast ratio of 5000:1, significantly higher than the typical 3000:1 found in standard VA panels. The result is deeper, more authentic blacks and a richer visual depth compared to most IPS displays.

In terms of design, the monitor features a sleek, all-black chassis with a minimalist aesthetic and a sturdy base. For connectivity, it is well-equipped with modern ports, including DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1, allowing users to easily connect PCs and next-generation consoles to take full advantage of the high resolution and refresh rate.

While the G75F excels in many areas, it does have a few trade-offs. It supports FreeSync Premium Pro for tear-free gaming but lacks official G-Sync compatibility. Additionally, it does not include a USB Type-C port with Power Delivery. However, it compensates with a highly ergonomic stand that offers height, tilt, and swivel adjustments for optimal viewing comfort.
