REDMAGIC 10S Pro and 10S Pro+: Gaming Flagships With PC Emulator Introduced
After several teasers, REDMAGIC launched this Monday (26) the RedMagic 10S Pro line in China. These are devices without cutouts in the screen, with an active cooling system, an overclocked version of the top processor from Qualcomm, and high-capacity batteries.
What features does REDMAGIC 10S Pro and 10S Pro+ offer?
The new products are built on an overclocked version of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which operates at a frequency of up to 4.47 GHz. The top configuration has 24GB of fast LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage. The Pro+ version received a 7500 mAh battery with support for 120-watt charging (100% in 35 minutes). The REDMAGIC 10S Pro has slightly more modest indicators - 7050mAh with 80W charging.
REDMAGIC 10S Pro and Pro+ are equipped with an active cooling system with liquid metal and a mini fan that accelerates to 23,000 rpm. In addition, these are the first smartphones of the brand with a pre-installed PC emulator and support for games from Steam.
Both smartphones have the same 6.85-inch display without cutouts and with thin frames. This is an OLED matrix with a resolution of 2688x1216 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. The devices also received a dedicated Red Core R3 Pro gaming chip, which is responsible for scaling the resolution in games up to 2K and maintaining a high frame rate (up to 120 fps).
On the right side, there are touch trigger buttons with a response rate of 520Hz for additional ease of control in games. The smartphones also have two vibration motors and powerful stereo speakers.
There are two cameras on the back: the main one and the ultra-wide one, each with 50MP. For selfies and video calls, there is a front camera with a resolution of 16MP hidden under the screen.
Price and global launch
The REDMAGIC 10S Pro in the basic version with 12 + 256GB costs from 4999 yuan (approximately $693), and the REDMAGIC 10S Pro+ in the top configuration of 24GB + 1TB will cost 7499 yuan (approximately $1040).
The new products are already available for order in China, and in June, a limited edition Mingchao with a unique case design and an exclusive set of accessories will be released. The devices have been confirmed to hit the global market on June 5. Although there are no details at the moment.
