Nothing Phone (3) Will be a Real Flagship, Coming by March
Carl Pei's company will release its new top-of-the-range model in the coming months, a first for the company, as well as two interesting mid-range models.
Let's go back to Nothing, which has decided not to launch its "flagship" smartphone in 2024, preferring to launch the mid-range Phone (2a) and Phone (2a) Plus models, in addition to the CMF Phone 1. Therefore, the Phone (2) has no heir yet, but this should finally change in 2025.
According to a new leak shared by the famous Evleaks, the company will make the Nothing Phone (3) its first flagship cell phone. The leak in question shows an email from Carl Pei himself, the brand's founder. Carl says more in the email about the year ahead with the Phone (3) being highlighted as a flagship device, as well as the launch of “a landmark smartphone” for the first quarter of 2025.
Carl Pei has confirmed that Nothing will expand its camera hardware and software development teams by 50%, demonstrating the company's intention to optimize cameras and software for current and future smartphones. For 2025, the company plans to launch three new smartphones, in fact in addition to the flagship Phone (3), there will also be the Phone (3a) equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip and the Phone (3a) Plus, which will likely be a mid-range option with improved specifications compared to the standard variant.
As for the Nothing Phone (3), however, this will be the first device of the brand that can be defined as top of the range, so it will certainly do better than what was seen with the Phone (2), which had opted for high-end solutions, but not exactly the most recent. Therefore, we can assume the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip or the MediaTek Dimenisty 9400 chip. In addition, the company promises revolutionary innovations in the user interface and the introduction of the first AI features developed by Nothing.
In short, there really seems to be a lot on the table for 2025 and Nothing certainly has the task of not disappointing expectations after 2024 that went by rather quietly, despite the arrival on the market of highly appreciated and interesting devices in the mid-range of the market.
