Volkswagen Passenger Cars CEO Thomas Schäfer recently announced on Linked In that he will return to using physical buttons instead of touch buttons on the steering wheel. It is understood that the touch-type multi-function steering wheel was first launched on the Golf, and subsequently appeared on its Arteon, Jetta, ID.Buzz, ID.4 and T.T.A. models.

However, users report that the touch buttons are not easy to use and are easy to touch by mistake. Schäfer also spoke about strengthening the brand's electrification efforts, saying that Volkswagen plans to launch 10 new electric vehicles by 2026.
