OPPO and Hasselblad Strengthen Strategic Partnership: Next-Gen Imaging System Coming to Find X9 Series

OPPO has announced an intensified strategic partnership with the renowned camera brand Hasselblad. Building upon four years of joint research and development, the collaboration will focus on developing the next generation of mobile imaging systems for OPPO's Find flagship series. Further details regarding the partnership and technical specifications are expected to be unveiled in Q4 2025.

According to Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer at OPPO, the collaboration is rooted in a shared pursuit of innovation. He stated that the partnership has brought Hasselblad's professional imaging experience to users worldwide over the past four years, and future collaboration will further expand the boundaries of mobile imaging.

Since announcing their strategic partnership in 2022, OPPO and Hasselblad have jointly developed four generations of imaging systems. These systems have been implemented in over 15 flagship products across the Find X and Find N series, introducing features that have shaped mobile imaging trends. These include the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution, tailored for mobile devices, the Hasselblad Portrait Mode, replicating the bokeh effect of classic Hasselblad lenses, the XPAN Mode, recreating the legendary camera's 65:24 wide aspect ratio, and the Master Mode, accurately matching the color style of the Hasselblad X2D camera.

According to previous announcements from the OPPO Find series product manager, the Find X9 / Pro is expected to be released in the second half of this year, followed by Find X9s/ X9 Ultra in the first half of next year. Based on this timeline, the OPPO Find X9 series is likely to be the first to feature the next-generation imaging system.

The deepened collaboration between OPPO and Hasselblad promises significant advancements in mobile photography. The upcoming Find X9 series is poised to showcase these innovations, potentially setting new benchmarks in the industry.
