JBL made a significant splash at gamescom 2025 on August 20th, introducing three new models to its popular Quantum series of over-ear gaming headsets. The new lineup includes the flagship Quantum 950, the mid-range Quantum 650, and the accessible Quantum 250, designed to meet the needs of various gamers.

A core feature unifying all three headsets is the implementation of 50mm carbon fiber dynamic drivers, engineered to deliver high-quality, immersive sound. Each model also supports spatial audio for an enhanced in-game directional awareness and is equipped with a 6mm microphone for clear team communication. While the Quantum 950 and 650 models boast versatile tri-mode connectivity, the Quantum 250 offers a straightforward 3.5mm wired connection.

The top-tier JBL Quantum 950 is packed with premium features for the most demanding gamers. It introduces an innovative dual hot-swappable battery system, where each battery offers 25 hours of use. The included charging station doubles as a control hub for RGB lighting, EQ presets, and game-chat balance. Furthermore, this flagship model incorporates 3D head tracking and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with adaptive and ambient aware modes. The Quantum 950 is priced at €349.99.

Positioned as a strong mid-range option, the Quantum 650 retains the essential features of the series while focusing on extended wireless gameplay. It provides a substantial 45 hours of battery life in wireless mode, making it a reliable choice for long gaming sessions. This model is available for €149.99.

For gamers on a budget, the Quantum 250 serves as the entry point to the new lineup. This wired-only headset ensures that players can still experience the core audio quality of the series, thanks to the same 50mm carbon fiber drivers found in its more expensive counterparts.
