Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Is Coming With a New Chipset of MediaTek

The Nothing Phone (2a) was introduced on March 5, 2024, which the company followed up on the Nothing Phone (2) model, but with a more attractive price starting at 329 euros. At the same time, it is a device that managed to surprise in the given price category. Recent reports have suggested that Nothing is preparing to launch the Phone (2a) Plus model, which will be launched on July 31st.

Now, a new teaser indicates that the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will come equipped with a new chipset, indicating a partnership with a manufacturer for an exclusive platform in the model.

After posting on X by Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis, it is stated that the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will feature an SoC that has not been released in any other smartphone. Although he did not mention which SoC it will be exactly, through various reports on the internet, it is expected to be the Dimensity 7350 by MediaTek.

Shortly after the above post, Nothing posted another message confirming the Dimensity 7350. This particular SoC comes with the Mali-G610 MC4 for GPU and the Nothing claims to offer 10% more performance compared to Phone (2a).

Aside from the above revelations, nothing else has been revealed other than the information that the Nothing Phone (2e) Plus will essentially be a more upgraded version. Phone (2a). Therefore, the new device is expected to have more processing power and some additional improvements.

In terms of design, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus will have pretty much the same look as the Phone (2a). It will just be larger than the regular variant and will keep the Glyph Light interface. In the price segment, it should be around, being a little more expensive than the mid-range Nothing Phone (2a), but below the top-of-the-line Nothing Phone (2).

Unfortunately, few details are known about the device at the moment, with the Nothing Phone (2a)'s specs remaining a mystery. In the coming days, certifications should reveal the phone's specifications.
