Xiaomi Watch 2 and Buds 6 Unveiled: Reservations Open Ahead of February Launch

Xiaomi enthusiasts have a reason to be excited as the company has officially opened reservations for its latest lineup of wearable technology. According to listings on the Xiaomi Mall app, the brand-new Xiaomi Watch 2 and Xiaomi Buds 6 TWS earphones are set to be released this month, alongside a new color variant for the existing Xiaomi Watch S3.

The highlight of the announcement is the Xiaomi Watch 2, a smartwatch featuring a classic round dial. It is widely anticipated to be the global version of the Xiaomi Watch S3, which was previously launched exclusively in the Chinese market. This new model aims to bring Xiaomi's latest smartwatch innovations to a worldwide audience.

Based on previous reports, the Xiaomi Watch 2 is expected to be a powerhouse in terms of performance. It is rumored to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 platform, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience. The visuals will be handled by a vibrant 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a crisp resolution of 466 x 466 pixels.

In terms of build and health features, the watch will reportedly feature a durable aluminum case and offer 5 ATM water resistance, making it suitable for swimming. For health monitoring, it will come equipped with essential sensors for tracking heart rate and blood oxygen levels (SpO2), in addition to comprehensive sleep monitoring capabilities.

Connectivity will also be a strong suit for the Xiaomi Watch 2. The device is expected to support NFC for contactless payments, Bluetooth 5.2 for stable connections with your devices, and dual-band GNSS for precise location tracking during outdoor activities.

Accompanying the new smartwatch are the Xiaomi Buds 6, a new pair of semi-in-ear TWS earphones. While details are still scarce, they are expected to feature a key upgrade: active noise cancellation (ANC), which will provide a more immersive listening experience by blocking out ambient sounds.
