OnePlus Ace 5 Mini Specs Revealed by Reliable Source

OnePlus will soon introduce the OnePlus Ace 5 series in China. It is interesting to us for the reason that the regular OnePlus Ace 5 will also arrive globally as the OnePlus 13R . But according to the latest information, this series will include one more member, a compact one.

Digital Chat Station (DCS) reports that the Chinese company will present the OnePlus Ace 5 Mini phone as part of this series, which will be a compact flagship. It will reportedly be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, so it will be interesting to see how OnePlus will handle heat management, given its smaller size and extremely powerful chip. 

According to information from DCS, the upcoming compact OnePlus phone will have a 6.3-inch, specially designed flat screen with a resolution of 1.5K. The camera design is described as a horizontal small matrix, which is quite minimalistic and somewhat reminiscent of the Pixel series. The main camera sensor should be a 50-megapixel IMX906, and there will be no periscope camera. Variants with optical and ultrasonic fingerprint scanners are being tested, and OnePlus has not yet clearly decided which option to go for in the end.

DCS has previously claimed that OnePlus' compact phone will be launched in the second quarter of 2025 in China, so this device is unlikely to be launched alongside the other two models in the OnePlus Ace 5 series. Also, this leaker revealed that the device will belong to the Ace series, which implies the possibility of the name OnePlus Ace 5 Mini.

Oppo's Find X8 Mini

In any case, this smartphone will represent OnePlus' answer to the trend of reducing the size of flagship devices, similar to Oppo's Find X8 Mini.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Mini could appeal to users who prefer more compact phones without major compromises in terms of specifications. What stands out from this position as a disadvantage is the absence of a periscope camera.
