ROG Xbox Ally Handheld: Pre-Orders Reportedly Starting August 20, European Launch Set for October

According to a report from Dealabs, the new ROG Xbox Ally series, a collaboration between ASUS and Microsoft, is set to begin pre-orders on August 20th. This highly anticipated entry into the handheld gaming market is stirring up excitement among gamers worldwide.

Citing information from leaker eXtas1s and the ASUS Spain store, the report predicts that both the ROG Xbox Ally and the more powerful Xbox Ally X models will officially launch in the European market on October 16th. It remains unclear whether other international markets will see a simultaneous release.

Dealabs further anticipates that Microsoft and ASUS will showcase both handhelds at Gamescom 2025. A detailed presentation is expected on August 20th at 3:00 PM CET, where Microsoft will likely provide an in-depth look at the devices, offer hands-on demos for attendees, and officially announce the global release dates.

In a move to ensure broad accessibility, Dealabs confirmed that the ROG Xbox Ally series will not be exclusive to the Microsoft Store. Instead, the handhelds will be available through major retail channels such as Amazon, Micromania, and Boulanger, making it easier for a wider audience to purchase the devices upon release.

Based on a prior leak from the ASUS Spain store, the pricing for the new handhelds has also been suggested. The standard ROG Xbox Ally model is listed at €599, while the higher-spec ROG Xbox Ally X is priced at €899.01.
