According to a recent report from tech outlet Sammobile, Samsung is actively developing the next generation of its popular Odyssey OLED G6 monitor. This new model is anticipated to make its debut around CES 2026 (January 6-9, 2026) and is rumored to become the brand's most affordable OLED gaming monitor upon release.

Adding credibility to the rumors, the upcoming monitor has reportedly secured certification from South Korea's National Radio Research Agency (NRRA). It carries the model number S27HG61, strongly suggesting it is the direct successor to the current Odyssey OLED G6, which is identified by the model number S27FG60. The new display is expected to feature a 27-inch QHD (2K) QD-OLED panel.

While specific details about the upgrades are still under wraps, industry expectations point towards standard improvements in key areas. It is anticipated that Samsung will enhance the monitor's peak and sustained brightness levels and aim for a more advanced DisplayHDR certification, delivering a more vibrant and impactful visual experience for gamers.
