TECNO Unveils Slim Series, Featuring the Record-Breaking 5.93mm Pova Slim

Transsion's brand, TECNO, has officially launched its new Slim series of smartphones in international markets, debuting with two models: the Spark Slim and the Pova Slim. This new lineup is designed with a primary focus on creating fragile and lightweight devices for consumers.

The standout model of the new series is undoubtedly the Pova Slim, which TECNO claims is the world's thinnest smartphone with a curved AMOLED display. The device measures an astonishingly slim 5.93mm in thickness, setting a new benchmark for smartphone design in its category.

Beyond its record-thin profile, the Pova Slim boasts a premium design and a vibrant display. It weighs just 173g and features a 2.5D dual-curved body with an AG glass back and a P2i nano-coating for added durability. The screen is a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED curved panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits of peak brightness, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for eye comfort, and an integrated in-display fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the Pova Slim is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor. This is paired with a generous 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of fast UFS 3.1 internal storage, ensuring smooth performance. The camera system is also robust, featuring a 50MP front-facing camera and a triple-camera setup on the back, headlined by a 108MP main sensor, a 2MP secondary lens, and an AI lens.

Despite its ultra-thin chassis, TECNO has managed to fit a substantial 5000mAh battery into the Pova Slim, which supports 33W fast charging. This combination aims to provide all-day power without a lengthy wait to recharge.

The series also includes the more budget-friendly Spark Slim. This model features a 6.56-inch HD+ 90Hz LCD screen, is powered by a Unisoc T606 processor, and comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging. Its main camera is a 50MP sensor.

The TECNO Slim series is now available in select markets. The Pova Slim is priced at 22,999 Indian Rupees, while the pricing for the Spark Slim has not yet been announced. With this launch, TECNO is clearly aiming to capture the attention of users who value sleek, modern design without sacrificing core performance and features.
