Elgato Unveils Prompter XL: A Larger, Brighter Teleprompter for Studio Professionals

Elgato, CORSAIR's renowned brand for content creators, has officially expanded its lineup with the new Prompter XL. Announced on October 9th, this studio-grade teleprompter is engineered for professional productions and larger creative spaces, coming to market with a price tag of $599.99.

The centerpiece of the Prompter XL is its massive 15.6-inch detachable display, a significant upgrade from its predecessor. It features a crisp 1920×1080 resolution, an impressive 600 nits of brightness for clear visibility, and a smooth 60Hz refresh rate. This leap in screen technology from the previous 9-inch, 1024x600, 400-nit model ensures a premium viewing experience.

This larger and brighter screen directly translates to superior performance across the studio. The readable distance of the Prompter XL has been extended to an impressive 4.6 meters (approximately 15 feet), a substantial increase from the 1.8 meters of the non-XL version. This allows for greater flexibility in camera placement and ensures talent can comfortably read scripts from much further away, providing excellent visual effects throughout the entire studio.

Built to handle professional camera rigs, the Prompter XL utilizes industry-standard 70/30 beamsplitter glass for optimal clarity. Its robust aluminum back bracket can securely support camera systems weighing up to 5kg and measuring up to 22cm in length. It also offers broad compatibility, accommodating lenses with a maximum diameter of 160mm (without the backplate) and supporting a wide field of view of approximately 94°.
