HTC Set to Launch Gaming-Style Wildfire Phone with UNISOC T765 Chip

HTC appears to be re-engaging the entry-level smartphone market with a new gaming-centric device.  The company showcased a new handset with a distinct gaming aesthetic from its Wildfire product line at the GITEX 2025 technology exhibition in Dubai. This move signals a potential new direction for the budget-friendly Wildfire series.

Adding to the excitement, industry source Yasuhiro Yamane has revealed that the new model is slated for an official release this autumn. This timeline suggests a launch could happen as early as this month or before the end of next month, making it an imminent arrival for consumers interested in affordable mobile gaming.

Based on the leaked information, the phone's performance will be powered by a UNISOC T765 chipset. Key specifications that have surfaced include a substantial 5,600mAh battery, which should provide ample power for extended gaming sessions. On the camera front, the device is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. Other hardware details remain unknown at this time.

This upcoming release is particularly noteworthy as HTC has not yet updated its flagship U series line this year. The most recent model, the U24 Pro, was launched in June of last year. It featured a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip and a 6.8-inch OLED display, with a starting price of $585 USD positioning it firmly in the mid-range market.
